I have recently discovered the art of couponing and I am now a firm believer that it can save a ton of money. It has changed my family's way of life and helped us to stock up on things my family uses. I now save money on everything my family needs. My stockpile is growing all the time and I love that I can pay rock bottom prices for these things and have them there ready for my family when they need them. I'm not running to the store to get an ingredient that I need to finish making dinner and paying full price for it. I save 50 - 70% on my grocery bill and this has helped my family to accomplish some of our financial goals.
Before couponing I would go to Wal-mart and just buy the things I needed to make it through that week. I'd pay whatever the price tag told me I needed to pay. I didn't have any stockpile. Now I wait for items to be on a great sale and then I use a coupon on that item and get it at rock bottom prices. I get multiple papers so when an item is at their lowest price I can get multiples of that product with my coupons and stockup so that I am never paying full price for that item again. When I wait for an item to come on sale and use a coupon to get great prices and then stock up on that item, I am deciding how much I am willing to pay for something. I am taking control of my finances instead of letting my finances control me. I can't imagine having to pay full price for things again. I never go shopping without my coupons.
