Couponing Tip: Track your savings

I have been looking for a good way to track my savings lately.  I have a budget and I stay within that budget, but I would like to actually see what I am saving by shopping the deals and using coupons.  I came across a really cool website that has a downloadable spreadsheet that helps you calculate your savings.  You put in your monthly budget and then enter the information off your receipts and it calculates what you saved and what you've spent for the year and if your staying within your budget.  Go here to download a FREE copy of the saving tracker so you can start keeping track of your savings every month.

We Ditched our Cable Bill

I read an article on a Blog this morning that I really liked.  She talked about how she dropped her cable and the huge bill that came with it and switched to Netflix.  I did this about a year ago and have never regretted it.  We don't watch much TV anyways and this way we still get to see more movies that we love and watch TV shows that we like after they have come out or you can even catch those TV shows on Hulu or subscribe to Hulu plus to get a wider selection and still pay less than you were paying for cable.  I liked this article cause it explained how you can earn rewards and points for signing up for netflix.   Here's a link to the article if your interested in reading it.
